There’s a story of Tom Herrick, who carted pebbles daily from the beach to Sellick's Hill. Rains eroded the landscape in the tracks creating sculptural forms and a deep ravine in the bare landscape. Burnt oranges, golden yellows with blue-violet shadows are etched into the cutting that formed, making rhythmic shapes in the landscape. This painting was a finalist - Heysen Art Prize 2009. The timber frame is hand painted by the artist to complement the colours in the painting. Limited editions in various sizes are available for this artwork.
