This painting is a view facing the cliffs from the rocks at Second Valley. Looking into the water one is mesmerised by the ripples and rocks beneath the surface. Known to locals as Fan bay or Sugar Loaf Hill which describes their repetitive shapes. The artwork is stylized in a modernist style and the jetty was intentionally left out of the composition to create balance and lead the eye to the sparkling waters beyond. The timber frame is hand painted by the artist to complement the colours in the painting. Limited editions in various sizes are also available of this artwork.
