Judy Morris

Judy Morris interprets the fascinating shapes and textures in nature using graphite and coloured pencil. Working from her Adelaide Hills studio she creates larger-than-life realistic drawings of native and exotic plants, shells and other found objects from her local environment. After a long career as a medical researcher, Judy uses her scientific background to provide a strong framework for her response to nature, producing aesthetic works that aim to lure the viewer to close inspection and respect for the world around them. Judy has participated in solo and group exhibitions around Australia, and has received numerous awards, particularly for her botanical drawings. Her work is held in public and private collections in Australia and overseas.
