This riverbed gumtree just out of community glowed in the midday light.

This work was painted from life on Anangu land and is was based on her time living and working in Pukatja (Ernabella), a remote indigenous community in the APY Lands. Through working at the Art Centre she developed close inter-personal relationships that taught her how to connect with the land respectfully. Her experience of living amongst the community was captured through her paintings/drawings which highlighted the unique colours, intriguing landscapes and remote quirks. This work would not have been possible without the support and guidance of the elders in the art centre.
