Investigating the natural and constructed worlds we live in, my work aims to touch on deep cultural histories, as well as interrogate an understanding of self and identity. I approach my role as an artist as that of a story-teller and inquisitor; I aim to draw viewers into alternate worlds that exist parallel to our own realities, but ones that often challenge our preconceived notions of life or experience. I am particularly fascinated by the role of the viewer in participatory art work, and the ways in which this allows the work to morph and shift. I hope to create space for viewers to form their own interactions with works and explore their own experiences. As a contemporary exhibiting artist I work with many materials including analogue, digital photography, inherited and discovered objects, as well as light and space.
