White-faced heron

This work was created after a long walk in Flinders on the Mornington Peninsula, where during a very low tide a found my way below the gunnery. This was a very windy day, and I came across a few other creatures but no other footprints than my own. I wanted to use a monochromatic nature of relief printmaking to attempt to capture the rough waters and the way the wind pushed the herons feathers away from its body. This is an edition of 20, with 8 available for sale pre-mounted in either black or white mat board.
