"The Other Side" reflects the tension between achieving perceived ideals and facing ongoing struggles. This painting, featuring a house on a hill with an idyllic view, places the viewer behind a fence, symbolising the barriers that persist even after reaching societal goals. It speaks to the experience of following social norms and attaining what we thought we wanted, only to find that daily challenges remain.
