The City of Creat-elaide

Living and working in the City of Adelaide means inspiration at my fingertips. My public art creations are intertwined with nods to painting tools, festivals, galleries, transport & native flora/fauna. This includes references to my eight painted murals & four types of temporary murals; banners, electricity boxes, hoardings & windows. The mini paintings symbolise AGSA as my original portal into city art; the start of my journey from growing up in the hills to painting and exhibiting all around Tarndanya. As well as the works covering the walls of the home I share with creatives above a restaurant in North Adelaide. Creativity is the glue uniting the city & connecting us with the world. I painted this piece to reflect on my experiences living and working in the city as part of 'Art Work & Wear' an exhibition I curated showcasing an artwork & a set of workwear of 23 diverse artists living and or working in the city of Adelaide in 2023 displayed at the City Library in August & September.
