'Matrix #1' from the series 'Body Writing #2' was made during 2020 and 2021. The origin of the word matrix is linked to the Latin word ‘mater’ meaning ‘mother’ and the original meaning of matrix was uterus, today the word matrix refers to a situation or set of conditions in which something develops or forms. Here, a matrix is visualised in an abstract sense as a soft sculptural form with reference to bodies and waterways.
