This stunning, Australian native flora illustration features the beautiful, flowers, buds and leaves of a Lemon-flowered Gum (Eucalyptus woodwardii). Native to Western Australia, the tree has smooth, grey-brown bark, yellow inflorescences and heavy fruiting capsules that cause the branches to bend, creating a weeping nature.
Artwork is hand drawn using waterproof pigment liners, then select areas are painted with watercolour. Sections are intentionally left with no colour, to add a modern, design element. Coloured pencil helps to define, create detail and texture to each piece. White gouache is used for branch highlights. High quality, 300gsm watercolour paper. Sprayed with permanent matt finish to protect the artwork.
