The Heart Lipped Spider Orchid (Caladenia cardiochila) is widespread in South Australia and also occurs in Victoria and Tasmania. It gains its name from the characteristic heart shape of the labellum. The orchid has been rendered with artist quality coloured pencils on archival cotton rag at eight times life size to show up details that are often overlooked. The drawing has been professionally framed in natural timber behind special glass that is anti-reflective and UV-protective.
