Free standing planter on tall base

This handbuilt planter is made from Bennetts terra cotta clay and decorated with a black oxide. The heavely textured circular top contrasts with the tall vertical feet, which join onto a circular base. Underneath, smaller feet support the whole structure. Terra cotta is ideal for hand building and fires to a rich red/brown colour. It is ideal for planting cactus and agaves as it is still slightly porous and allows the soil to dry out .This planter would be ideal as an outdoor feature, or can be brought indoors over winter. The unique shapes and textures enhance the spikey narrow leaves of the aloe.
