I painted this on a cotton curtain material as I ran out of the canvas material I usually work on.
This cotton material was gifted to me by a fellow artist as I have given her my time and guidance when she has asked for it.
I love it when you can use an item to make art that otherwise would end in a rag bag or the tip.
I often use a roller to create marks on canvas and material and this is the technique I utilised on this artwork because it is so large.
In using a roller it takes away that fastidious attitude an artist can drift into that can cause her to lose her spontaneity and become self critical.
