Dancing Between Creation and Decay

This artwork encapsulates the energy and power of our electrified industrial era, showcasing the materials and chemical processes that underpin it. Rather than using flat surfaces for expressive mark-making, I started with a curled-up copper sheet. Once unfurled, the markings on the copper celebrate the interconnectedness of modern existence through the strong relationship between the various marks, including oxidisations. This non-linear journey challenges our preconceived notions and invites a profound contemplation of nature and its processes.
