After I left work for my prostate cancer journey, I vowed to make the trip to see our old friends in France- themselves not getting any younger before I returned to work. Soon after the radiation ceased- still on the hormones- we set out for a two week trip to France. It wasn’t Autumn in Paris in April but it was Autumn here when we returned. And the Paris painting became an autumnal painting. And I didn’t return to work.
