Sally Burley is an emerging South Australian artist who spends her time living and painting across her two favorite locations in South Australia. Amongst the beautiful and ever-changing vines of Barossa’s high country in the north, and the glistening diamond waters and soft white sand of Aldinga Beach, in the south. Formally trained in life drawing at the Adelaide Central School of Art, Sally’s work speaks of her pull towards the strong force of the abstract in brushwork and colour, and the desire to take the viewer back to realism in form. An ever-opposing battle between full freedom in large format movement, and restraint through detail.
