Laura Gent is a multidisciplinary artist and experienced Arts Educator who has been working on Kaurna Country in Adelaide for over 20 years. She holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts from the University of South Australia. In recent years, Laura has focused primarily on creating ceramics works that are deeply connected to the natural world and rich in layered narratives. Her ceramic pieces are often biomorphic and highly textured, incorporating foraged materials from the landscape to emboss the clay surface. Inspired by the rugged coastlines of South Australia and the bushland of the Adelaide Hills, her work evokes a strong sense of place.
