I aim to make oil paintings that spark joy when hung on walls in homes or workplaces. This is the same joy I feel as each work begins with an instance of awe …a fleeting moment when something catches my eye and lifts me out of the everyday. The interplay of shapes, light and shadows is what captives me. My studio is outdoors in nature where I feel good gardening for food or bushwalking. I work en plein air or indoors on larger landscapes and still lifes. To me oil paints are an exciting vibrant medium and I love their buttery expressive brushstrokes to share the enchantment and endless beauty I observe in nature. I am a 2022 Batchelor of Visual Art graduate of the Adelaide Central School of art. I enjoy living in the Adelaide Hills.
